A Refined New Orleans Museum of Art Wedding
Jordyn and Connor’s wedding at the New Orleans Museum of Art was the kind of celebration that stays with you long after the night ends. It was a day filled with emotion and quiet elegance, beautifully woven together inside one of the most iconic venues in New Orleans. From the intimate morning at The Ritz Carlton to the second line that swept everyone into the sculpture garden, their wedding day unfolded like a classic film, full of meaning and intention.
The day began in the Crescent Room on the twelfth floor of the Ritz Carlton. Family moved softly around the space while final details came together and sunlight filled the room. Once Jordyn slipped into her gown, the emotion in the room shifted. The first look with her bridesmaids, then with her dad, and finally with Connor on the terrace created some of the most heartfelt moments of the day. Their connection was steady and sincere, the kind of love that feels grounded and deeply rooted.
From there, the wedding party made their way to NOMA for portraits. The museum grounds are a dream to film and the Oak Grove and sculpture garden offered a timeless, natural backdrop. Every corner felt cinematic.
As guests arrived for the ceremony on the SG2 North Lawn, music from the New Orleans Classical and Jazz Duo floated through the air. The moment Jordyn appeared, escorted by her dad, the entire space fell into stillness. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, their ceremony felt personal and meaningful, set beneath the soft afternoon light.
The emotional ceremony quickly shifted into joyful celebration as Kinfolk Brass Band led the second line through the sculpture garden and onto the Portico for cocktail hour. It was classic New Orleans energy and the perfect bridge into the rest of the evening.
Inside Oak Grove, the reception was warm and inviting, filled with candlelight, music, and intentional design. Their first dance to “I Try” by Macy Gray set the tone for the night. Heartfelt speeches, incredible food from the Brennan’s team, and a packed dance floor from Got Groove carried the celebration all the way through the final song.
Jordyn and Connor ended the night surrounded by their people, wrapped in music and laughter. It was emotional, elegant, and truly timeless. It was an honor to capture their story for Abshire Films.
